Meet the Founder

Clint Brand, CPA

Clint has worked in accounting since 2007. He spent his first eight years in public accounting and the next six as a controller in industry before founding Brand Accounting in 2021.

From 2007 to 2015 he was on staff at a public accounting firm in Lafayette, doing audit work, business and personal tax preparation, and small business accounting. That stretch gave him a good feel for the kinds of problems small businesses bring to a CPA, and how often those problems start further upstream in the books.

From 2015 to 2021 he was controller for a steel castings manufacturer, where his focus shifted to managerial accounting, cost accounting, and payroll. Running the books from the inside changed how he thinks about what a small business owner actually wants from an accountant. Most owners don't need more reports. They need clear answers to the questions they're actually asking.

Staying current on technology has been part of the practice from the start, and it's a particular focus today. New tools keep changing what's possible for a small business in both day-to-day operations and reporting, and AI is accelerating that change. Clint evaluates new tools carefully and brings them into client work when they help an owner get faster, clearer answers.

Brand Accounting Solutions brings that combined experience to small businesses in Lafayette and the surrounding area. The firm pairs the rigor of public accounting with the practical judgment that comes from running the books in industry, alongside a working knowledge of the tools changing the field today.

Founded to make accounting less intimidating

Brand Accounting Solutions was founded in 2021 by Clint Brand with a straightforward mission: deliver quality, accurate accounting work in an environment where clients feel comfortable asking questions.

Too many small business owners dread dealing with their accountant — not because of the numbers, but because of the experience. Complicated answers, slow responses, and a general sense that they're being talked down to. We set out to change that.
